Touching an orphan's life.  How many times have you been watching a television program and a commercial begins to air concerning children in poverty.  You know deep within yourself that something should be done, but you also have an innate distrust for large non-profit organizations that have large administrative overhead.  "Will the money really help a child, you ask yourself?"    

Years ago the founders of our organization struggled with the same question.  After traveling extensively in Asia for a number of years, they instituted a program that truly helps orphans and those children in the greatest need.  The projects work exclusively through Christian church groups in Asia who are overseeing the care of orphaned children through approved groups and institutions.   Sometimes they are adopted into a family.

Rather than helping those that seemed to be profiting from the distress of children, our founders came to realize that there were a great number of Christian families and churches that were helping orphaned children who had lost parents from natural causes or catastrophic events. They were doing it in a variety of ways and most weren't conducting their service with a profit motive, but a motive of compassion.     

What we began to do was raise between $15 to $20 per month for each child.  Since that time we have learned that these funds are more than enough to care for the feeding and early education of a preschool child. But when it's time to send them for an education just a bit more is required.
